1. What data we collect
IPSearch was designed to collect the minimum necessary for the service to work:
- Queried IP addresses — the IPs you type into the search are recorded in a simple log, with date and time.
- Origin IP address — the IP of whoever performs the query is recorded in the same log, for request rate limiting (abuse protection).
We do not require registration and we do not collect names, e-mail addresses or any other personal data for using the tool.
2. How we use this data
- Responding to geolocation queries.
- Applying request limits and protecting the service against abusive use.
- Generating aggregated, anonymous usage statistics.
We do not sell, rent or share data with third parties for commercial purposes.
3. Third-party services
To work, the site relies on external services:
- Geolocation provider — the queried IP is sent to an external geolocation database to obtain region and provider data.
- Maps (OpenStreetMap/Leaflet) — the map loads images from OpenStreetMap servers; when displaying it, your browser connects to those servers.
- Flags (flagcdn.com) — flag images are loaded from this service.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy.
4. Cookies
IPSearch does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies of its own.
5. Retention and security
Search records are kept only for the period necessary for the purposes described above and are protected by appropriate technical measures.
6. Your rights
Under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Law No. 13.709/2018) and similar regulations, you may request information about the processing of data related to your IP, as well as its correction or deletion, where applicable.
